However, when it comes to the biggest stadium in term of its capacity, three countries have stood out from the rest. These countries are Mexico, India and North Korea. Sometimes, this stadium us also used by the Indian National Team and host international events such as the cup finals.

Although the first two are already very huge, these are still in no comparison to the stadium built in Pyongyang, North Korea. The Rungrado May Day Stadium is considered the biggest or the largest stadium in the world, which has a seating capacity of 150,000. Just like the Salt Lake Stadium in India, the Rungrado May Day Stadium is also a multi-purpose stadium, which likewise includes other sports such as athletics. Aside from being the largest football stadium, it is also recognized as the largest non-auto stadium in the world. This massive structure is the home stadium of the North Korean National Football Team.
