It’s a Saturday night and your friends have just called in to invite you to a party. For many women, the clothes to wear is always a dilemma. What shoes to pair with the dress and what purse to bring. And it does not end there. Hair and make-up is also important. You have to be beautiful and alluring to get the attention of everyone in the club. And as most people say, it’s all about the eyes.
You can put on colored contact lenses to have a more enchanting pair of eyes. Or you could simply doll up your eyes with eyeshadows, maskara, and eyeliners. But many love long lashes that curl up just perfectly. And no matter how much maskara you put on or how much effort you put into using the lash curler, they won’t have the same effect as to having long eyelashes. And it is with this very problem that people have developed eyelash extensions.
These eyelash extensions are different from “false” eyelashes in a sense that the extensions are attached to every eyelash. You don’t attach the extensions as a set of eyelashes. You attach one extension to one strand of your eyelash making them look more real than the false eyelashes. And attaching these eyelash extensions can be pretty tough. And which is why in the United States only licensed estheticians can do eyelash extensions.
Eyelash extensions can last from 2 weeks to 2 months. It highly depends on fast your natural eyelashes grow. Once the old lashes are shed out, the extensions come off too. But what it you don’t want to keep these extensions any longer? Well you can go to the salon where you get and tell them to take it off. But if you’re a bit tight on the budget you can simply follow this guide on how to remove eyelash extensions at home.
To remove the eyelash extensions at home, you simply need the following materials: a bowl of hot water, a towel, cotton balls or make-up remover pads, and baby oil. First step is to steam your face. Wrap a towel around the bowl with hot water and place your face on the towel. The towel should keep the steam from the hot water from going elsewhere but your face. The steam will loosen the glue used to attach the extensions. After, apply some baby oil on a cotton ball. Then wipe your lashes with the cotton balls. The oil works as lubricant and it heats up the glue even further and breaks it down. You can then remove the individual lashes with your fingers. Repeat these steps for the other eye then you are good to go.
Some of the extensions may be a little harder to pull off. If this happens, just steam your face again and apply more baby oil. But if you’re really having a hard time removing these extensions, you should head out to the salon where you got the extensions and have them removed. After all, you wouldn’t want to waste all your eyelashes when beauty is what you aim for.
